A Calcium silicate mineral that comes from the world class Saint Lawrence Wollastonite deposit near Kingston, Ontario. The material like lime, helps to balance soil pH and supplies calcium for plant growth with plant available silicon (important for a plants resistance to environmental stresses). Common applications are to grain crops, vineyards, greenhouses and turf farms.
Originating from the Cargill Carbonatite-phosphate Complex located near Kapuskasing Ontario, this product is currently the only North American sourced igneous rock containing apatite (phosphorus source). VolcanoPhos meets the National Organic Program requirements for use on certified organic farms as a clean mineral source to aid as a soil amendment. Typically applied at a rate of 200 to 1000 lbs per acre.
